LONDON (AP) — Barnsley will host defending champion Chelsea in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup. The League Championship side stunned Liverpool 2-1 Saturday.
Manchester United will play a Premier League club for the 11th game in a row. The Red Devils will play host to Portsmouth.
Only three Premier League clubs are sure to make the sixth round. A fourth, Middlesbrough, must beat League Championship club Sheffield United in a fifth-round replay before it hosts Cardiff, which is also from the division below.
The other quarterfinal match pits League One team Bristol Rovers at home to West Bromwich Albion.

JJ Williams speaks out for Welsh rugby.....in English and French.

Quel incroyable match.

At one stage I thought ‘look out, there’s another hammering coming here’ and then it all turned around with 20 minutes to go.

Looking back I wonder if England lost it or did Wales just change everything?

It was a bit of both I think.

Wales’ fitness must be applauded - they kept running and running.

In the first half when they were trying to run the ball, they were going through phases and losing possession.

But they kept the ball in the last 20 minutes and kept the ball out wide.

England struggled to cope with that. Angleterre luttent pour faire face à cela.

Henson made some powerful breaks through England’s midfield Henson fait quelques pauses puissant du milieu à travers l'Angleterre

England fell apart totally and couldn’t live with the pace of the game.

Wales unsettled them. Pays de Galles instable. They were totally flabbergasted. Ils étaient totalement flabbergasted.

At the end of the game when they were behind the posts waiting for the conversion, they looked totally confused.

They were lacking leadership and Wales had it all.

They took their opportunities and that’s what sport is all about.

We played poorly in the first half but I think the difference between the two sides was what happened in the dressing room at half-time.

I think Shaun Edwards and Warren Gatland went about our boys and told them a few home truths.

They came out and did much better in the second half, so full compliments to our coaching staff - they were the difference between the two sides.

It’sa great start for them but now they’ve got to keep their feet on the ground - which I’m sure they will.

We’ve got a massive opportunity with three home games coming up. You can’t ask for more than that.

What ? No Way!!!!

MPs claim for rent paid to children
A MARRIED couple who are both Tory MPs are using allowances funded by the taxpayer to rent a flat from their own children.
In an arrangement which helps avoid inheritance tax, Sir Nicholas Winterton and his wife Ann have put the London property into a trust set up for their offspring.
Because it no longer belongs to them, they have been able to claim £165,826 to stay there, passing the cash to the trust in the form of rent.
But Commons rules say MPs should not use the accommodation allowance to lease property from themselves, or any organisation they, or their relatives, have an interest in.
The Wintertons’ arrangement, detailed in The Mail on Sunday today, concerns a flat on Greycoat Street, Westminster. Their £195,000 mortgage was paid off by February 2002, when the flat was transferred to the trust.
Under Commons rules, the couple would have been unable to continue claiming accommodation expenses after the mortgage had been paid off had they kept the property in their own names.
Their children have benefited from the rent, and a reduction in liability for inheritance tax.
Sir Nicholas said: “I see nothing unethical or wrong . . . it was agreed by the Commons Fees Office. I happen to rent a property that I bought outright.”

Population in UK & Migration

NEWS RELEASEAugust 22 2007

NEW MIGRATION FIGURES SHOW UK QUALITY OF LIFE FALLING – OPT

The record figures for emigration in the latest UK population statistics are further evidence of the decline in Britain’s quality of life caused by overcrowding, the Optimum Population Trust said today (Wednesday August 22).
Commenting on the figures, which showed that UK population grew by 349,000 to mid-2006 and that long-term migration out of the UK reached 385,000 over the same period - the highest figure since the indicator was introduced in 1991 - David Nicholson-Lord, OPT research associate, said: “Out-migration has been climbing for several years now and survey evidence strongly suggests it is driven by a perceived decline in UK quality of life, with congestion, queues, overcrowding and general ‘lack of space’ a key element in people’s decisions to move. The new figures indicate that more and more people are opting for a more spacious and less fraught existence overseas, in countries where there are simply fewer crowds and more room to breathe.
“England is by some measures now the world’s fourth most densely populated country and the overall population increase reported today, equivalent to a city larger than Leicester, shows that this is going to get worse. Over the next six decades the UK population is forecast to rise by another 10 million. Given that many of the people leaving will be skilled professionals, the figures suggest that unsustainably high population levels in the UK may already be causing significant economic damage.”
